dorbie 0 #51 January 20, 2005 QuoteOne tip, if you SCUBA and skydive, it's wise to leave at least a couple days in between. The pressure differences can really mess you up. In the AF they won't let you go to altitude if you recently went SCUBA. All part of the training, you can mix them just make sure you do the skydiving first. Hmm, maybe one of these days I'll have to set up a trip, I think I know a few people who'll go. (mostly males, but there;s nothing wrong with that!) ..that is, AFTER I go somewhere by myself Mother to the cutest little thing in the world... They do make an inspection of your gear to ensure you're not bringing in any seeds or other possible hazards, and they may even spray with an insecticide. Next year at school I should be able to become certified. That convo and many other things recently got me thinking, that most of my female friends I've had in my life were more of the prissy, hate-getting-dirty, experiencing ANY thing inconvenient-type, etc, even though I'm more the type to go camping, sleep on a rock, etc. I decided that I AM gonna travel overseas, go camping, backpacking, etc, even if it means going alone. Why should I sit around and wait for the perfect friend to take with me to experience the "thrill of a lifetime"??? I'm tired of girl friends who won't go anywhere or be adventurous, because it's "too expensive" or "too dirty" or "too tiring" or "there aren't enough modern facilities"....blahblahblah. \ First place on the list: New Zealand. What have I got to lose, right? (except maybe a couple thousand dollars on a plane ticket) sorry I didnt read the rest of the post, yet. but if you sit around and wiat for the [perfect friend to come around you will never find him/her. thats because they are all out rock climbing, backpacking and living. if you wwait around youwill only find that you lost all that itme for nothing some of the best times Ive had in my life were when I went alone. My photos My Videos
 Prev 1 2 3 Next Page 3 of 3 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
