So my girlfriend keeps asking what I'm getting her on Valentine's Day and I just keep acting like it's no big deal and I've got it covered. But really I'm feeling pretty clueless. I know I've got time still, but does anyone have any great suggestions that worked in the past?

Have you actually asked her what she would like to get for Valentines Day? (She may have an opinion of her own.) However, the letter thing is a beautiful idea...include that too as a special surprise and you'll be guaranteed a strong reaction.

Oooh... be careful though with the asking thing... she may actually want a diamond!!

That sounds nice... Velentine's day is highly over-rateed. I'd prob. just take taht special someone for a jump then do the flowers/cooking Mexican food naked thing.... That's enough to make any lady feel special.... Dontcha think?????

Too many people wait til that one day each year to express their feelings or do something special for each other and I think every day should be Valentine's Day.

I think the best present I got was 3 chocolate-covered strawberries, eaten very slowly together, in front of a fire, on a cold night, with a glass of wine to the side. Everything was set up perfectly in advance.

Those strawberries were eaten VERY slowly.

Well my personal experience with the whole ordeal has completely and utterly sucked in the past, I deemed the day cursed. BUT, if I were to actually have a decent one, it would be filled with something thoughtful. Not expensive, just some way of telling her how you feel.

Without knowing what she likes, its hard to make suggestions, theres tons of ideas out there. Write her a song, serenading at her window. Hold the high note at the end and her heart will melt.
