Hey Vicki, can you bring me some of that anti-hangover stuff? ;)

I'm in 2 minds about whether to get any actually, hence my thread entitled "Does RU21 work?". I looked at a box in Boots this morning and it seemed to contain not much more than glucose and vitamin C. If that really is the case, then it won't achieve any more than drinking orange juice with my vodka!

If anyone is convinced that it works and wants any, it's £5 for a nights supply - PM me if you want me to get you some. :)

Zeemax did some semi "scientific" tests with RU21 last year and posted them here.

My conclusion about it after reading up on the stuff was that it simply slows down and delays the break down of alcohol in your system. This way your body is not flooded in the toxic by-products of the break down process and since it is these toxins which produce the worst hangover effects you avoid a hangover.

The disadvantage is that since it's delaying the break down you remain intoxicated for longer. Therefore if you're planning on driving home from the AGM on Sunday you may want to think again or risk getting pulled for drunk in charge.

That's merely my non-medical take on what I read about it though.

Last year it was a good 15 min round trip from the main bit back to my room to stock up on the alcohol

I'm thinking CamelBak as well as a catheter and bag and then I won't have to move. Better be careful not to get the tubes confused!

Am not sure if I will be drinking tonight. I was carrying out some (very) scientific build up training in the beer hall in Munich last night and got dragged off to the night club. Got in at 5am and for my first lesson at 7:30 I was still getting MORE drunk as the alcohol worked into my system. The hangover only really started at about 2pm. Think I may be quiet tonight then put the preparation to use tomorrow.

One of my friends told someone he met in the bar that he thought they had "gay blond hair". Both were very very drunk. This chap was evidently so annoyed with the comment that he threw his Jack D and coke over himself… then fell over. I think the argument ended there.

My door was knocked loudly upon at 8am. On opening it I was greeted by one friend passed out on the floor while another with a large lump on his forehead presented me with a disheveled croissant.

After being kicked back to life the unconscious friend crawled to my sofa giggling where he proceeded to snore loudly. When my attempts to stop this noise failed, I resorted to drawing on his face with a biro.

Evidently my penis/testicle combo on his cheek was scaled too large, as the left nut extended into his eye... where I poked him rather hard with the pen. He still didn't stir.

It's always amusing to see the number of people asleep on sofa's in the Rotunda sweet in the morning.

Oh yes... and another two friends got engaged. :)

Two days, 1 breakfast, 24 half litre bottles of 1664, and spent the best part of £200 :o

Not to mention falling asleep in the Snooty Fox [:/]

I reckon that adds up to a good weekend.

Just need to make sure I am awake at 4am tomorrow when i get picked up to go to Elsinore :)

Only got to meet a few of you, as I was still drunk from the night before on Saturday morning and didn't make it to the pre-arranged meeting place.

Finally sobered up and started feeling like a human being at around 6pm on Saturday after an afternoon snooze.

Partied until late on Saturday and wish I could have been in about 10 places at once!

It was an exellent weekend, great to meet the people I didn't already know, and just as great to see the ones I already did.

I'll be back next year, and this time, I WILL pace myself on Friday night.
