JayhawkJumper 0 #1 January 26, 2005 Has anyone else seen this movie yet? I saw it last night and it was one of the most incredible movies I've seen in a long time. I also saw The Aviator which was equally good. If you haven't seen these movies yet, go see them!

AggieDave 6 #3 January 26, 2005 Cool! I really want to go see Phatom of the Opera, although I never have had the chance to see the real thing. It looks very "colorful" sort of like Braughnan's (sp?) Hamlet from 1994.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
mailin 0 #4 January 26, 2005 I've seen the onstage version 3 times, and had to say that I thought the movie did a great job portrayinjg that version. I loved it. My mom, who loved the stage version, didn't like the movie so much, but her issue was with the story line itself (" I just hate how she would fall for that guy time and time again. What's wrong with her?") 2 thumbs up! JenArianna Frances
skygazer 0 #5 January 26, 2005 I loved the movie as well. I have seen the stage production twice and used some of the music in my wedding. The film is no substitute for the live version but is really well done. It is fabulous!_______________________________________

That's good to know, as I've seen it on stage too, and was worried that there would be something lost on the big screen.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. mailin 0 #9 January 26, 2005 grrr.... now you have that song stuck in my head again Guess I'll have to go see the movie again. What better thing to do on a day where work will let me out early and we're getting 7+" of snow? JenArianna Frances
Emel 0 #10 January 26, 2005 I saw Phantom of the Opera on Broadway in New York last year and feel in love with it. I have also seen the movie, which of course didn't have the energy of being at a live show, but I still thought it was impressive and very well done. Life is best lived one jump at a time. moodyskydiver 0 #17 January 26, 2005 Saw Phantom both on Broadway and in the movie theater.I think the movie as a whole was well done but I was sad to see so many changes that were unecessairy to the script, music and plot in general thats blatantly obvious if you've either read the book or seen the performance live.Like I said, beautifully done, but just wish they'd stayed closer to the book/musical.
