mnealtx 0 #1 January 27, 2005 Having a sciatic attack officially SUCKS - I realized that I wasn't going to make in to work when it took me 10 minutes to get out of bed this morning. So, I've spent the day laying in bed until the back/leg stop spasming, then gently stretching... what've y'all been up to?Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. okalb 104 #2 January 27, 2005 Happens to me every once in a while. The best thing that I have found for it is acupuncture. It really makes a huge difference. -OKTime flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana
mnealtx 0 #3 January 27, 2005 No access to that kind of thing over here, though. My coworkers were telling me yesterday to get a Thai massage.. I couldn't get the idea through to them that this is a nerve/spine thing, not a muscular thing. That and the fact that I would've gone up like a rocket if anyone had started pressing on that part of my back, yesterday....Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. genoyamamoto 0 #4 January 27, 2005 Yeah, well I ended up getting surgery about 10 years ago. Highly recommend other forms of treatment before getting surgery. Unless you can no longer walk. Then surgery would be a good option. Find a physical terrorist to show you some strength building exercises. Exercise and stretching REALLY help. Gotta go... plaything needs to spank me Feel the hate... Photos here
mnealtx 0 #5 January 27, 2005 I've got some stretching exercises to do... that' pretty much what I've been doing through the day today. I'm feeling better - hopefully it'll fade out entirely the next day or two. I'm gonna be a bit more careful walking into work and NOT bust my azz on the ice again, too!!Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. Dougiefresh 0 #6 January 27, 2005 I got an adjustment from my chiropracter after this and it really helped. The day he did it my back hurt like hell, but over the next few days it got better and better. Barely any pain now. Sorry you're hurting. Take some pain killers and go back to bed.Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams
