AMax 0 #1 January 31, 2005 Does anybody else have this problem? The voice and text messages are delivered with 1-2 day delay. This is extremely irritating I am ready to switch to different provider but first I would like to make sure that this is not "Provider specific" problem. Maybe it's the coverage area you are in. Have you called Sprint about it? The Original Cabana Boy!
prepheckt 0 #3 January 31, 2005 Wow, that's a LONG delay! Sometimes my voicemails are delayed an hour or two, but never that long. I've had instances where I've had the phone on next to me, and then I get a voicemail notification. Not sure why that happens."Dancing Argentine Tango is like doing calculus with your feet." -9 toes
justinb138 0 #4 January 31, 2005 I had the problem with one of my old phones. I recently got a new one with SMS Text capability (the old one sent the message a different way I think) and it seems to be working great. If you do decide to switch to a different provider, I highly reccomend that you don't choose Cingular. Everyone I know has had problems with them. Vallerina 2 #5 January 31, 2005 Yes, I had this problem this past weekend. There were four voicemails left on Friday that I didn't get until Saturday night. I received some text messages really late. Wildblue (and possibly Ward) didn't get my text messages. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
vid666 0 #6 January 31, 2005 I got rid of voicemail 2 years ago - I was annoyed by most getting hangup messages and morons leaving me "it's me, call me back" no matter how many times I told them to use the numeric paging option. I had a few delayed VMs, but dunno what has been hapenning for the last 2 years. THe web based SMSs seem to be almost instant though... try calling Sprint, I am sure they are the ones who can get you the best answer.

gmanpilot 0 #9 January 31, 2005 My big issue with Sprint was the reception and roaming. The reception is horrible unless you are stationary while standing outside in a major urban center. If you are in a building, car, or rural area, forget it. I went back to Verizon and all is well. I'm not big on the whole mobile/text thing, so I can't comment on that._________________________________________ -There's always free cheese in a mouse trap. Well ... that's a different story. I don't think there is a perfect phone company that does not have any reception problems. I was OK with Sprint until recently. Now, after having to explain several people why I did not reply on important calls, I am seriously thinking about switching.
