Viking 0 #1 January 30, 2005 How early would you get to the concert for the GA floor seats for the first show of the new U2 tour? I'v been wanting to go to a u2 show damn near all my life and i finally have the chance. Would getting there in the morning be a tad much?I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
AggieDave 6 #2 January 30, 2005 The last "big" concert I went to I got there a little before the gates opened, so I could enjoy the energy of the crowd, the "die hard fans" getting worked up and claim my spot in the "open seating" which at the Starplex in Dallas is a large grass berm behind the "expensive" seats. All in all it was WELL worth doing it that way. I got to meet some really interesting and fun people as well as have a very good time.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." ChasingBlueSky 0 #3 January 30, 2005 Depends on the venue. They have rules about when you can start to wait in line. If you want to be close you will have to wait hours before the gates ever open. In July of '93 I waited 9 hours outside of Soldier Field to get good seats for Pearl Jam. I still had to wait thru two opening acts brining it to a total of 11 hours waiting. The end result? kai2k1 0 #4 January 30, 2005 Back in 1992, I went and seen Metallica, The Cult and Suicidal Tendencies in Neurenburg Germany, We got there at 9:00 the night before and got in line. The let us in at 4:00 in the afternoon. We ended up in the front row, right in front of James Hetfield.
