Sigh...cough, cough, cough!

I knew the scales weren't going to be my friend. Wasn't able to work out at all this week cuz of this frikkin cough!!

Almost cut myself some slack and didn't weigh in this morning but you gotta take the bad with the good.

Sooooo......

(she says whispering) 185/179/160/+2

And I have a damn wedding to go to this weekend too....But by next Friday, this will be gone plus one!

Last week: 12.5 lbs lost
Through week 3: 90.5 lbs lost

My numbers: current 199.4, loss 4.8 lbs.
Bodyfat 26.2%

I guess not eating for two days because I couldn't walk over to the chow hall makes a difference!

I'm also pretty stoked - this is the first time I've been under 200 lbs in about 15 years! B|

Anyhoo, I'm down 9 pounds since we began this thing. :)

No, not 12.5 in a week...got my new scale and now and I can weigh just me, instead of me + clothes... which is probably a good thing, as the scale that I was using in the hospital is now all screwed up from ppl not resetting the weights....

The weather hasn't complied for my preferred workout, so I've only lost 3 pounds. I'm getting sick of waiting for it to get nice out, so maybe next week I'll just freeze my way through it. 200...coming up.

I haven't been following this thread, but after this mornings weigh in I have to join in.

In August of last year I had hit 305 lbs. This morning I was at 255 lbs.

I've still got a long ways to go, but I've nailed my first 50 lbs.

By Thanksgiving I'm hoping to be below 185, so I can enjoy myself a little during the holidays and reward myself with a new rig for Christmas.

Well, after nearly a year off the workout regimen, I just did 20 laps on the local stadium stairs and a mile cool-down on the track. Other than wobbly legs, I feel good! (now that the nausea, sideache, and headache have passed) :D

I weighed 175 even this morning. I've started lifting weights, so I wonder if I'm going to see a weight plateau as I pick up muscle mass. My Tanita scale measures my body fat as either 19% or 11%, depending on which setting.

Good for you.

I give up as I'm still stuck at 129. I've been hitting the gym pretty hard though so I can tell it in my clothes even if the scales don't move.

Don't quit!!!

All that means is that you're not only losing fat but gaining muscle at the same time - you're sure to hit the breakover point soon!



see, this is why I'm not even bothering with a scale. I'm lifting weights as well as doing aerobic exercise, so i'm hopefully gaining muscle mass.

so I'm measuring my progress by my waistline, not my total weight.

I've only lost 2.2 pounds since we started. I was SO close to losing 5 but I've been eating really late at night again and the weight just stays around. How am I to eat earlier when I work till 6 then go to the Gym till 8:30-9. Get home and cook dinner and its 9:30 or later :S

Good thing is Mile time is down to about 10 minutes. I've been running 3.3 miles in 30 minutes with a 5 minute cool down. I'm keeping up in one of the classes I'm taking, and I've noticed a difference in some of my clothes. The punching bag is starting to move a bit more across the floor too on each punch.

I've still got a ways to go, but I might have stalled out due to the combo of using weights, eating late and the limited cardio I do a week (130-150 minutes or so).
Yesterday is history
And tomorrow is a mystery
