We used to get them often caught dead in the pool filter. When swimming we had to dodge one once in awhile too.

Sorry about that. I left my car keys about 3 feet away on the edge of my bed, and nearly jumped out of my socks when I glanced over and saw this weird looking black thing on the sheets about 10 minutes ago (my keychain)..

They (Yellow garden spiders) are all over texas, and usually are found in bushes. I've never seen one inside.

Up north we just freeze our butts off every winter & can't jump for 4 or more months a year. But at least we don't have too many giant mutant poisonous insects & arachnids here.
