Psycho Pack Question

Recommended Posts

I concur... I only psycho-packed my Pilot 168 about 40 or 50 times so the sample isn't large, but it worked fine without extending the bridle (was in an Icon I6).

same here, approx 60+ psycho packs on a pilot 168 in a 348 V3 w/mag. riser covers. no bridle extensions, no problems, very nice openings

had about the same or more previously on a spectre in a quasarII. same results, no bridle extensions, no problems, very docile openings.

Thanks for the info guys. My canopy is also a pilot 168. I have been psycho packing it without the extension. And you guys are right. The openings are GREAT! I do realize you don't have to have the extension but I ended up letting my rigger put one on this weekend. It is about 9 inches long. It does seem to work a little better with the extension because now I don't have to pull the attachment point of the canopy out to the side before rolling it up. It actually looks a little neater also. But I have another question that does not concern the extension. When I roll the canopy I can't seem to get the roll to look as tight as the videos I have seen. If you have any tips to help me with this I would appreciate it very much. Thanks a lot.

No tips as such... a few hundred more pack jobs will do it though :P

(Not that I can talk, my packjobs still look like the cat helped. Sometimes, this is because he did.)
