Islandcool 0 #1 January 3, 2005 Ok... A whuffo friend asked about it. She wants to do a tandem. I thought there was only one which was Skydive Las Vegas but a search revealed this also. http://www.vegasextremeskydiving.com/ What gives? Are there 2 out there? YahooLV 0 #2 January 3, 2005 Yes, there are two dz's out there. Las Vegas Skydive and Skydive Las Vegas. Go to Las Vegas Skydive, it's in Jean, just south of Vegas on HWY 15. Blue Ones. Curthttp://www.curtisglennphotography.com

kbordson 8 #5 January 3, 2005 I don't know much about the Skydive Las Vegas. But Vegas Extreme is run by Eddie Carroll (great guy, excellent jumper one of the flying Elvi, wouldn't say a single bad thing about him....) The tandem guys that he has are really cool too. I jumped out with Eddie about a year ago (did some fun jumps with him and Raff, although usually his DZ caters more to the tandems), good program, he picks up the tandems at their respective hotels and takes them out to Jean (short little drive) and then gets them back to the hotels. Nice and convient. Look it up, I would recommend it.
freefallguy 0 #6 January 3, 2005 Hey guys there is one more out there. US! Skyduive Mesquite is the only drop zone that likes fun jumpers. Extreme Vegas will let you jump but only if there is an empty load and for a high price. If you want to send them to the only "DROP ZONE" (read not student only operation) come on out. freeflir29 0 #7 January 3, 2005 Yep........did a jump with JTVAL out there a summer or two ago. (Age is affecting my memory.) Nice enough place. Plane was slow as 2 goats pulling a semi up the side of a mountain (C-206)...but.......it was a nice facility and the people seemed great. Being this is for a tandem I won't go into the landing area..... As far as I know this is the ONLY place to skydive in Vegas! Good people!
Islandcool 0 #8 January 3, 2005 I was thinking about mesquite. The deal is that they are from Alaska and I'm not sure about travel and time constraints. I'll look into it. They won't be out till March.

bozo 0 #10 January 3, 2005 QuoteHe sold the DZ last year. New management was to take over months ago. Stay up with the rest of the class Phree...youre not staying up with the class. Hawkes just turned over the management of SLV to Brent Buckner so he could go play with his new girlfriend....he still owns it...all the same old restrictions are in place. jtval 0 #22 January 5, 2005 QuoteHe sold the DZ last year. New management was to take over months ago. Stay up with the rest of the class well although the new management is true the old owner still has his hands in the business. in a few years when the "buy out" is complete there may be a different dz in vegas as for now, its business as usual. they are tyring to get fun jumpers there but I wont go there for the price they are asking. they still need to do a lot of work and a lot more NEW owner to get my moneyMy photos My Videos
Foursprouts 0 #23 February 3, 2005 Vegas extreme is a rip off tandem factory just like VES. Youll jump from 15000 Ft !!! well...actually its 10500. Oh, and thats MSL. The airfield is 3000 MSL. So, its 7500, half what they claim. Try complaining and youll be told to Fuck off.
