Seriously, as was pointed out, Freemasons and Shriners, et.al. provide a remarkable degree of assistance to those in need. Most notably, the Shriners Hospitals for Crippled Children and the Shriners Burn Centers, AT NO COST TO THE RECIPIENT. In this day of rising health care costs, that's something special IMHO.
