wingnut 0 #2 February 4, 2005 ahh... well you mean jello shot sliek these???? well, they are easy... i ake em in bulk so you will have to divide... i use two 3oz pacgages of jello and abut 2-3 cups of alcoholand the 4 cups of watter..... use the watter as the boiling stuff and the alcohol/water as the cold water.... mix well and pur into litle cups........ yes next time look online and find the little cups 500 littlc cups with lids cost like 20 bucks and is so worth it.. makes the joy of jello alot better!!! buti have found that you must compliment the fruit flavor of the jello with the alcohol... vodkaq works good for lime and lemmon, rum is good in the purple and orange... but then agan vodka works good for all of them.. the goal is make em strng, but not to strong... you should stillbeable to tastemore jello tan alcohol.. i like the 2.5-3 cups alcohol to the 4 cups water...... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version" Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I like to make marguerita shots with lime jello and tequila, pina coladas with pineapple jello and coconut rum, strawberry daqueris with strawberry jello and rum...you get the idea. rbrcokflichk 0 #10 February 4, 2005 One box Orange Jello, One box Cherry Jello, Vanilla Vodka, properly chilled of course to be your cold water. Follow the recipie EXACTLY like the box, except substitute all of the cold water for vodka. Add three extra unflavored knox gelatin packages for every two large boxes of jello you use. Put in 9x13 pan, chill till completely set. Cut in 1.5" by 1.5" squares and serve. So much easier to have small cubes to pick up and suck!!! -Cheers!! . They tend to take longer to set than normal jell-o due to the alchohol but not to much longer. As for flavors I like to get alchohol that is flavored to compliment the flavor of the jello. I can buy cups, jello, alcohol, and liqueur there for $50.00 and make up to 300 jello shots - 500 cost around $80.00 out the door!!!!! Each batch I make consists of 1 Box Jello 1 Cup Water 1 Cup Vodka (1 cup = 237ml) This produces 13 1.5oz (45ml) Jelo shots Case 2000 cups (Sams Club) - $20 ($5.00 for 500) Case 2000 lids (Sams Club) - $20 ($5.00 for 500) Vodka - (I only use Smirnoff - Cheaper stuff gives everyone a hangover) - $20 per 750 ml Bottle - 1 Bottle will produce 42 Jello Shots (3.1 Cups from each 750ml bottle producing 42 shots)- (500 Jello shots would take 12 Bottles of Vodka at $20 each = $240) I get about 13 shots from each regular sized pack of jello so it would take 38 Boxes to make 500 shots. (38 x $.35 = $13.50) Total cost for 500 Jello shots - Cups and Lids - $10 Vodka - $240 Jello - $13.5 Total = $263.00 When I make the RedBull and Vodka Shots that everyone loves, My costs Double as I replace the Water with RedBull. A large Jello carton makes 25-30. Mix the pack with a cup of hot water in a metal mixing bowl (easier to clean). Instead of the cold water, use one cup of vodka. I use one of those Pyrex 2-cup measuring cups for easy pouring into the little sample cups. For any zhills folks, I am making some for tomorrow night. The Muffs have donated alchohol for punch and jello shots. We will be selling both punch and jellow shots on Sat night and all money goes to tsunami relief. Trying to help in a little way. It will crystalize the sugar and other ingrediants in the redBull) Add 1 Pack of Lemon Jello. Stir Untill completely disolved and Let Cool for a while. Add 1 Cup of Vodka and stir. Makes about 13 to 15 1.5 oz Jello Shots. Edit to add: Always let your jello mixture cool before adding the Alcohol as alcohol tends to evaporate if it gets too hot.
