happythoughts 0 #1 February 10, 2005 I went out to the dz late today. They were putting together a hoop dive. It was divided into two groups. Each group had 4 or 5 divers. In group 1, the first guy got through. The second guy approached at a 45 degree angle and clotheslined himself on the bottom of the hoop. He then swung his feet around under one of the guys holding the hoop and took his air. I was in group 2. I made through twice and was set up for a third run. However, then a guy hooked it with the back of his knees and took it out. The videos of hoop dives are always funny. Everyone checked their gear for snag points and made sure their PC was tucked away well. I know that it is very easy to snag the top with your feet/ankles, but for some reason I generally do. I did remember to tuck my hands back and cover my PC as I went through. There was some talk about doing inflatables tomorrow.

happythoughts 0 #3 February 10, 2005 Quote Get a job and stop hanging out at the DZ during the week. I've been responsible before. The fun part of that is very small. If everyone did what the correct adult thing, Oprah would be off the air and all her employees would be homeless. You don't want that, do you? It's just a social duty for me. I'm a bad example. wmw999 2,589 #4 February 10, 2005 (Wendy blows on fingernails, too cool to drool) Now here's how to go through the hoop.... Just don't look at the open main flap due to old velcro. We all had that in those days. Me going through the hoop, Cathy Chapline and (I think) Debbie Fernon holding. happythoughts 0 #6 February 10, 2005 Quote(Wendy blows on fingernails, too cool to drool) Now here's how to go through the hoop.... No doubt! Nice pic. When ya got it, flaunt it. Arms back with a good track going. Legs straight so the ankles don't catch the top. That, my friends, is a perfect hoop swoop. A pic to learn from.
