Feeblemind 1 #1 February 10, 2005 Hey All, Well tomorrow is the big day, my first AFF jump. I went through FJC today and I think I asked over a million questions. I am really looking forward to exiting with my instructor and doing that 1st 90 degree turn on my own. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, but I suppose that is normal. The only thing that puts my mind at ease is that I know I have agreat instructor and he is my frien until 2000 feet. I will see you all torrow and try to type with my ear to ear grin. By the way, your instructor is your friend always, well, at least up until the point he hits on your girlfriend.Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk

Feeblemind 1 #12 February 10, 2005 Well one out of two wasn't bad (the beer was good and cold) your right sleep was intermittent (spelling)this evening. This is what my dream consited of: 1) Gear check 2) JC check my gear 3) MX Check my gear 4) Ed check my gear 5) check handles inside the barn outside the barn, check them prior to boarding the plane, gaurd them getting in the plane, check them in the plane, check them several times in flight to alltitude, and check them ust before exit. 6) Get in the door 7) check in!! (get ready response from instructor) 8) Prop! Lean out lean in and exit (WOOOOOHOOOOO!) 9) ARCH! 10) (Thumbs up from instructor) three pratice touches 11)alltitude check 12) Look at instructor, If stable, released to do 90 to the right 13) check alltitude 14) 90 to the left if still above 7000 15) check altitude repeat if possible as longas above 7000 16) 7000 relax and prepare to deploy 17) 6000 use your brain and remeber this damn thing is gonna malfunction until it proves you wrong (REMEBER YOUR EP'S) 18) 5500 wave pull (good hard toss of the PS) 19) look up and count, If Mr. Murphy shows up KICK HIM IN THE NUTS and perform EP let him know you are prepared and he picked the wrong student to fuck with! 20) Chute deploys insure it's square and deployed properly (no end cell issues and the slider is down. Again if Mr. Murphy arrives repeat step 19. 21) check jump trafic if clear look right turn 180 degrees tothe right, look left turn 180 degrees to the left, full flare and release (controllability check complete, good canopy, locate and fly towards DZ) 22) Locate other traffic n the air 23) Observe landing patern of other skydivers 24) Fly canopy upwind of the pattern, Smile and have fun 25) Check point 1 at 1000 26) Check point 2 at 600 27) Check point 3 at 300 on final no more turns unless you are going to hit something then use small imputs (Don't land on the damn free way or hit the barn, both of those would really suck!) 28) 100 feet legs together, relax watch your spot 29) 12-20 feet smooth flare and land (most likely ass over band box) Hopefully I didn't break anything. 30) gather chute and return to barn 31)review the dive with the boss and hopefully not get an ass chewing for screwing up. 32)watch video of dive and learn. 33) Repeat steps 1-32 as much as possible!!!! And you wonder why I didnt get much sleep Phil Fire Safety Tip: Don't fry bacon while naked
