mnealtx 0 #1 February 14, 2005 Those of us connected with the military know that trying to call home using a calling card can be frustrating at best. You call, spend 10 minutes talking to your family and then get the dreaded "beep-beep-beep" in your ear - you've just used up your $20 phone card! Now, there's a new solution: It's a new DSN service to connect to 800 numbers (sorry, 976 is still blocked). Dial 312-463-3376. At the second dial tone, dial your 800 number (using 1-800-xxx-xxxx). The nicest thing is that your calling cards last a LOT longer... as the number drops into the civilian phone network inside the States, you're not burning extra units calling in from international. I've tried it out already and it works like a charm... I may just have to drunk dial some people, once I get on the list!! Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim.
