EricTheRed 0 #1 July 22, 2004 Ok, not entirely skydiving related but... LP's web site says limited cell coverage recently installed (cell one) Anybody been recently? Did your cell phone work? What kind of phone and who's your carrier? I am changing plans before I go (since my current plan sux) Just wanted some help in making sure I get one that "might" work there. GravityGirl 0 #5 July 22, 2004 The whole point of LP is to NOT HAVE THE PHONE ON!!!!! Have you ever noticed that when you go up to the mountains (where there is no coverage), it is so nice and quite, and the sounds are those of nature and not the constant BUZZZZZ we have become acustom to? My advise is ditch the phone. Relax. Have a vacation for crying out loud. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

slug 1 #8 July 23, 2004 Hi GG A while back we were at the LP boogie from start to finish. No radio newspaper etc. Just fun in the sun and the lake. On the way home we stopped for gas and a guy's bitching about the price of gas going up so fast in response to Iraq invadeing Kuwait Damn missed the news repeating the same incident over and over again R.I.P. EricTheRed 0 #9 July 23, 2004 I understand that. Really I do. However, my lovely wife is letting me go solo, and I would like to call my son. Work doesn't have my personal #, so I'm not worried about that.illegible usually

mt_skydiver 0 #11 July 23, 2004 I jump at Lost Prairie as my home DZ (WooHoo!) and there is pretty much no cell coverage at all. I switched from cell one to verizon because of cell one's crappy service and I know I don't get service at LP (on verizon), but just like everyone else said, who needs it! You're at LP, it's time to forget about everything and have fun and jump! You'll never find me Jew gold!
