LOUIS (AP) -- A 12-year-old St. Louis girl is charged under the juvenile code with murder for allegedly killing her 9-year-old sister in a dispute over a hamburger. A Family Court judge will decide if the girl should be tried as an adult. The older girl reported her sister was lifeless in their apartment December 22. Authorities found no evidence of violence, and autopsies offered no insight. But police received a phone call from a social worker earlier this month. The 12-year-old was in a psychiatric unit, suffering visions and nightmares. Police say she told staff there she strangled her sister in a quarrel over a hamburger.
