Finally in the wireless age

Just got a card for my laptop-I was hoping that the company would pick it up but got tired of waiting. And yes, this is my first post using it. I'll bring a case to Dublin

I love my lappy with wireless. I can be a PW sitting in bed and drinking my coffee in the mornings.

During the warmer months, I sit outside with my lappy.

I had to do something, I spend more time in Holiday Inn than I do at home and it's getting to where wireless is the only high speed option that they have.

you should have seen me when I first got to Tampa. I was driving down the street late at night the first couple days before the cable modem got installed looking for a hotspot. Found a few. People should really secure their systems...

You can do the same thing with a cordless phone if you need to make a long distance call-just drive around a residential area and change channels until you hit someone else's signal.

I talked to one of the instructors at the college I work at, and was informed there was wireless in one of the buildings that I'm in during the afternoon. So, I took my lap top to work yesterday. I found the signal, but because of my firewall, I couldn't connect. There is too much valuable information on my lap top to take that firewall off, so I didn't connect.

I know I drove home one day hitting refesh on the wireless search button, and found out if there was a program that would switch from router to router in a fast kinda way I could surf the net all the way home. That is if I dont hit a tree along the way.
