kinney29 0 #3 February 17, 2005 Since I was stationed on a training base during part a large part of my tenure in the Army. we would go out to the gas chamber to clear colds. i t works pretty well. As for the other. You need antibiotics if its a sinus infection. And if your going jumping ... good luck with that.

I can still clear my ears so I don't think jumping will be a problem. I guess there is only one way to find out. The Original Cabana Boy!
masterrig 1 #5 February 17, 2005 Hot lemon juice (sweeten to taste) and a double shot of Jack just before bed-time and pile on the blankets! Chuck
Rebecca 0 #6 February 17, 2005 QuoteHot lemon juice (sweeten to taste) and a double shot of Jack just before bed-time and pile on the blankets! Chuck For extra cold ass kicking power, mix in the lemon and Jack with TheraFlu and sleep for as long as you can - works like a charm! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? beezyshaw 0 #7 February 17, 2005 Quotedo NOT jump if you have a cold, or even the remnants of one. trust me on this one. What he said. Just because you say you can clear your ears doesn't mean you're not going to get on the ground and feel pain like you've never immagined. I've jumped with a head cold (a long time ago...NEVER AGAIN) and had ear pain for days after. And I mean PAIN, not "discomfort".

My sinuses feel like they are going to explode!!!! HELP Blowing out an eardrum is painful enough. Blow out a sinus and you're looking at a lot of blood on your gear and some surgery. You can still be congested and be able to clear your ears. Sorry, dude...at least Z-Hills has a really good bar you can enjoy while you're there.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Rebecca 0 #10 February 17, 2005 My bf mixed it up for me the first time I got sick - it knocked me the f out and I slept like a baby, waking up MUCH better than I would have been! OrangeJumper, Keys: sleep, as deep and long as possible, and decongestion. Vitamins and fluids and brothy warm soups also help. DO NOT OVERDO IT THE MINUTE YOU FEEL A LITTLE BETTER OR IT'LL DRAG ON and on and on... Take care of yourself, OK? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

I did the theraflu thing last night and this morning. it worked but it didn't last long. My other problem, I am a very light sleeper, probably a borderline insomniac, but alcohol usually does the trick. Thanks for the advice Rebecca! The Original Cabana Boy! Mayberry 0 #14 February 17, 2005 Has anyone here tried Airborne?? (Clicky) I keep hearing good reviews about it, last week I was in a class & the instructor said he had a cold he couldn't shake for weeks that cleared up in a couple of days once he started using this stuff. Supposedly it is sold OTC at CVS, Rite Aid, etc. It has a catchy name too!! Don Here's to friends!
WrongWay 0 #15 February 17, 2005 A really badass flyer once told me when he had a cold that his mom recommends hot tea with a little bit of rum. Edited to add: Colds are fine to jump with imho, but anything nasty having to do with your sinuses can NOT be good.
