dorbie 0 #26 February 18, 2005 Some utilities for this came bundled with my Jump-Track software. It included all sorts of counters (like cypres 4 year services) not just repack dates.
mnealtx 0 #27 February 19, 2005 Yeah, I saw that on the software that works with the Neptune, as well... Anyhow, to re-state... I'm gonna do it for me... if anyone else wants reminders, let me know!Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
Gralala 0 #28 February 19, 2005 You know who's the worst about not keeping up with their personal repack cycles?? STAFFERS!!! We've actually had staffers show up at other dropzones out of date before. masterrig 1 #29 February 19, 2005 That doesn't really surprise me. I've had people call me at 7:00 the night they were going to a DZ, out of town, wanting their rigs I&R'd. I just told them I couldn't do it. When they got back, they all brought me their rigs (3) and strangely enough... no data cards in any of their rigs! Hmmmmm... happythoughts 0 #30 February 19, 2005 This doesn't just impact the jumpers, it is the dzs as well. If you come up to manifest and you are out of date, no jump. Some dropzones have it in their software. If you are within 2 weeks of your repack date, the manifest person will get a popup note to mention it. The easiest way is to put it on a sticky tape on the webbing. It is easy to glance at and you don't have to dig out your card.
veter_ 0 #31 February 20, 2005 Cypres can be hacked to fire every 120 days as a repack reminder. Just push the button 10 times while the light is on.
flyangel2 2 #32 February 20, 2005 QuoteIf you have the time go for it, some people can never have to many reminders anyway. Most people would be upset being called out like that on a open forum. But I'm one of the first to admit, since I don't make my living in a skydiving related job anymore, I tend to forget when my rig is due. Thank god I've got a kick ass rigger that watches out for me.
