rehmwa 2 #1 February 25, 2005 Sunday (3 weeks from now) while I'm wrapping up a tunnel camp, my wife and daughter finish early and want to see the ocean that day instead of hanging around the hotel/tunnel for the rest of us to finish. For Mapquest - Do I just do a path to the "city of Cocoa Beach" or is the beach itself near another town to put in the map maker, or what is the closest city to get them to the beach? I ran the map and don't remember crossing near the space center last year when I went with friends (but I wasn't driving at the time) THANKS ... skymama 37 #2 February 25, 2005 From the tunnel, go down I-Drive to 528. Go east and follow the signs to Cocoa Beach. You can't miss it! There is actually a town called Cocoa Beach. You will go past Cocoa and Merrit Island before you get to the beach. There are streets every few blocks that you can park at. I think there's a public parking area now too. Make sure you hit Ron Jon's surf shop, they'll billed as the largest in the world. Also, there's a restaurant on the pier that is nice to eat at. This was a big help and thank you. It been 8 years since my 9 year year old has seen the ocean - I wish I could be there this time. ...
