Charles and Camilla Engagement Photo

Recommended Posts

Aw now c'mon (:D) - she's not that bad.

Frankly, they're much better paired than Diana and Charles - he didn't look so good next to her with her pretty teeth and cute ears. Camilla complements him much better.

And with all they've been through, and the teeth and all, it's gotta be true love!

Good luck, you wacky kids, you!

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Prince Charles - "I want to be reincarnated as your tampon" (1991) to mistress Camilla Parker- Bowles.

This was intercepted in a cell phone conversation they had while he was married to Diana, the conversation went on to discuss being flushed down the toilet as a tampon. They're a class act, you yanks will never understand class like the Brits (for you confused southern yanks who don't know you're yanks, "yank" here is used in the British parochial).

Perhaps one should see it from a different point of view. Not many couples succeed in keeping a deep true love over such a long time period. 30 years. Against all odds.
That's not a question of beeing a beauty. This man always loved her. Period. I'd say: Take off my hat to him/her. Wish them a big share of luck for the rest of their lifes. :)
Just being curious: I'd like to see a man admitting/saying that, after 16 yrs of (hidden) sex, he still is dreaming of beeing her tampon forever :D She surely has her own qualities.

For centuries, royalty has sent their children off to marry the children of other royalty (sometime in other countries), just for political leverage and monetary gain.

A lot of royalty spent their time trying to keep from being assassinated by their own relatives. There are countries today where this problem is a concern.

If the two of them are happy and compatible, I say go for it. They may be two of the few couples who have cared for each other this long, royal or not.

I'd go with that Happythoughts, and echo Christel's entiments.

What we have here are two 50 somethings getting married, one a widower, the other a divorcee, let them be happy. Even if one has a face like a melted wellington boot, and the other looks like bulldog chewing a bumble bee. So what?

The only good looking 50 somethings around are skydivers.....

But keep those jokes coming....B|

I agree, although the media has a HUGE part to play in all of this.

The media villified Charles for having an affair, but not Princess, Diana of Wales, because she was attractive and young, whereas he was older, not attractive and his mistress was older than him and not at all attractive.

It is a well known fact that Diana was the first person in that marriage to commit adultary and had Charles been King at that time, it would have been treason on her part.

I think that anyone, regardless of age, social standing, etc, is entitled to a happy life and living their life with their true love.

The only instance I agree with abdication was the Wallis Simpson episiode as both Wallis and Edward were Nazi Sympathisers and their union brough politics into it.

Camilla, for all her media related ills, has never mentioned her politics.

p.s. One of my mother/fathers' friends is very close to Camilla and I won't say who due to prying eyes.
