BASE813 0 #1 February 27, 2005 QuoteGoogle provides a version of their main index to the public that is free of ads. This is at www.google.com/ie on all of their data centers. It is apparently used by some versions of Explorer for some feature. The point is, Google provides this for public use, and it is listed in the Google Directory as a "bare bones interface that returns only page titles." (The snippets are there but you don't see them until you mouse-over in Explorer.) This version of Google is quite stable and easy to scrape. Nothing has changed on the formatting of these pages for 2.5 years. Therefore, we contend that the ad-free results offered by this scraper do not do anything that Google itself does not do. We merely make their /ie interface more attractive and useful. www.google.com/ie http://www.searchlores.org/nbbw.c I just though this a nice clean clear way of seaching................ GTAVercetti 0 #3 February 27, 2005 QuoteNice, thanks for the info, that will be my new homepage now instead of regular google. I need the blurbs that go with Google. The title of the page is not always enough. Somtimes the title totally defies the content. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
