How do you make a ringer for your phone?

Recommended Posts

I have a great idea for a new ringer for my cellphone, but I don't know how to create it. Any help?

It's from a TV show which makes me confident that I can find it on the Net. But once I have the mp3 or wav I wouldn't know what to do.

I use Sprint and have a Sanyo 8200.

DZ.com is becoming the first place I go with obscure general information questions. Good on ya, yall!

There's a program that you can get from Qualcomm to convert a wav to the format that Sanyo uses. Then you can either upload it to a service like 3gupload which does the rest of the hard work for you, or you can package it, put it on the web somewhere, and download it with your phones browser.

I have a set of notes from the last time I did this stashed away somewhere. Lemme know if you need more help and I'll dig 'em up.

Edit: Looks like Wildblue beat me to it.

Edit: I didn't look at your phone specs, it might support MP3, so you'd just have to send it to your phone. But that link is a good start if you can't

You are such the man! It's easy enough that I just made 3 ringers (KnightRider, FraggleRock, and BigPoppa). Now I have to go find an MP3 of what I *really* want.

I'm a supergeek tonight.
