Slappie 9 #2 February 28, 2005 QuoteWell can you? Obviously you cant brown it in there, but can you make it 'bacon sandwichable' in there? Yes, just cover it to keep the splatter down. AggieDave 6 #3 February 28, 2005 Yeah, wrap it in a paper towel. Its not nearly as good cooking it the right way, though.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
tigra 0 #4 February 28, 2005 Yes you can. I used to have this plastic microwave bacon cooker. The trick is to keep the bacon off the bottom of whatever dish you are using so it isn't laying in its grease the whole time its cooking.
Bouda 0 #5 February 28, 2005 yes you can cook bacon in the microwave if you like it crispy i go about 2 minutes Look what i made at work today mom!! Put it on the fridge http://www.bouda.moonfruit.com
mouth 0 #6 February 28, 2005 Sure you can...it even browns. I cook it a minute a slice and generally put it on a paper plate layered with paper towels and covered with a paper towel to catch the grease. Be careful taking it out as the grease can drip and burn you. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.

WrongWay 0 #10 February 28, 2005 Dude, look for a book called "A Man, A Can, & A Microwave" on any good book site. It's a valuable tool if you're anything like me. Btw, yes, I'm serious. Slappie 9 #12 February 28, 2005 I learned at a very young age to cook. It was self preservation. My mom's food rocked. I knew if I hung out and watched & asked questions I wouldn't starve to death when I got on my own. So I learned to take care of myself in the kitchen. Now I used to love to cook. With todays fast pace I just don't have to time to cook except on the weekends. So it's normally something fast or comes out of a box and goes in the microwave or oven. WrongWay 0 #13 February 28, 2005 Well, I can cook, and yes I enjoy cooking when I do cook.....it's not like I don't know how......but sometimes when you're sitting there and you have some raw chicken and a pan or a box and a mircrowave.....sometimes you just can't help but go for the latter, for the pure sake of laziness. Here in barracks, I have a toaster, a Stella Artois fridge, and sandwich maker and a microwave. The bacon burns in the toaster, so I wondered if i could cook it in the microwave. BillyVance 35 #16 February 28, 2005 QuoteYeah, wrap it in a paper towel. Its not nearly as good cooking it the right way, though. You're right. I prefer the skillet myself, but if you're pressed for time or just plain lazy, microwaved bacon is edible enough.
