pa2themd 0 #1 March 1, 2005 So it is 05:15 am on a warm Afrcan Saturday, I am rushing to get my gear together so that I can leave for the drop zone in 5 minutes time.... All my gear at the door, run out side to pull my beautiful 1976 Classic Beetle closer so I can load her and my car is GONE!!!! Yip she was stolen sometime between 22:00 Friday night and 05:15 Saturday morning .... some bastard / s stole my car!!!! She would have been paid off by October this year which would have meant some extra cash for my daughter and I. So now I wait to hear if my insurance company is going to screw me over, I have to take a weekend off to go find some damned new car and finance it for another 5 years *sob sob* I guess we should count ourselves lucky that we were not in the car, people have been killed for less! Any how just wanted to rant alittle .... thanks! "Most of us can read the writing on the wall; we just assume it's addressed to someone else!" Sorry to hear about that, but at least your gear wasn't IN your car. QuoteI have to take a weekend off to go find some damned new car and finance it for another 5 years *sob sob* All of the financial articles I read say that it is better to buy a used car than a new car because the depreciation is so much. Maybe you'll be able to do that since you'll be getting insurance money. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
