eeneR 3 #3 March 3, 2005 QuoteWow, you know how geek talk turns me on. Now throw in the dirty words, and I'm all wet So im trying to distribute this application out to a production server, but for some reason it will not go. It is creating the application distribution directory, but the config info is not coming across....I have verifited all source paths...and code. Everyting seems ok. So i just deleted everything and am starting over...what normally shouldnt take more then an hour or two to do total, I have spent all morning on, and now have to start all over.. That work? I know more about computers and networks etc... then half the dept heads in my (rather large 5k workstation) companies IT Dept. I'm self taught. PhreeZone 20 #20 March 3, 2005 Yeah, I got my degree in fall of '01 and they taught it then. Hell, they were still requiring me to have COBOL at that point. Powerbuilder, C, C++, VB 6.0, COBOL, MVS and JAva 1.1 were all required C++ is the only surviving one Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
ianmdrennan 2 #21 March 3, 2005 HA yeah I had to do COBOL in college too!! Unfortunately I've had to become familiar with Powerbuilder for my new job in supporting this legacy application but my heart still lies with C# (I LOVE that language and the .NET framework). As for JAVA yep we use that a lot here too so I wouldn't count that out and there a million or more VB apps still out there (but thank god I haven't had to write one for over 2 years!!) Look forward to meeting you in Dublin! Blues, IanPerformance Designs Factory Team
