Dress Code

Recommended Posts

I sit here in my office in jeans, tennis shoes and a long sleeve white Chicks Rock T-shirt. My hairs messed up. I don't have any make up on and no one cares.

Do you have a dress code at work or wear a uniform?

(this is not a ploy to find all the hot guys in uniforms)

Current job: Tandem Instructor

Job I want: Cop

Ok, my current job's dress code I think covers something to the effect of "wear something over your groin."

The job I want has a uniform.

We have a business casual dress code here. I WISH I could just waltz in with a pair of jeans on. :|

I kind of wish we had a little bit of a dress code here so I'd learn how to dress up better! I need coaching on how to dress in real life. I usually look like a lazy guy.

We have a business casual dresscode. I normaly wear pressed beige slacks and a pressed button up shirt but no tie. But since I gave my two week notice on Monday I have not shaved, I am sitting here in jeans, my nationals tee-shirt, vans and my hair is fro'd out...B|

Hmm let's see here...sideburns to the middle of the tragus......same clothes (sometimes literally) every day (AF blues). Oh yeah we do get casual fridays! Oh wait, that's a uniform too (bdu's). At least we can work out at the gym and not be bothered.....oh wait no we can't, warriors always have their shirts tucked in! (As the numerous signs remind us). It's not as bad as it sounds though.

No shorts (unless it's a weekend), and shoes should be worn when you arrive at work. Tshirts with obscenities would probably get a trip home requested. Clothes are not stained or torn, and should be clean.

People tend to wear polos and jeans or something in that category of formality. Plenty of T-shirts that don't advertise stuff among the programmers. Management is one small step up from that; i.e. most don't wear T-shirts.

Occasionally one of the women wears this fuzzy apple green collar thing with a very slinky dress. Now that's weird.

I used to work for the old IBM. The IBM of white shirts, ties, and suits (even blazers were discouraged in some areas) for men, and dresses or slack suits for women. I don't think I've worn heels more than a dozen times since we went casual. :)

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

And might I add, you look hot when you're dressed for work.

No dress code for me. Most days I wear jeans and a t-shirt.

Do you have another job, or just winging it???

Good luck Seb! g

The only thing I tend to be a hardass about (regarding our dress code) relates to safety items. Beyond safety glasses and closed shoes, you could wear a bathrobe for all I care. ;)

Then again. I'm not exactly an office type of person. :P
