MikeJD 0 #26 March 4, 2005 I take Sudafed pretty regularly when I'm jumping. Never noticed any side effects but it does work pretty well to unblock my ears and sinuses. The only thing is, it may be on the list of banned substances if you're taking part in any major competitions.

Sudafed is on the restricted list for parachuting competitions and banned for all other forms of aviation competitions. Restricted basically means that you need a letter from your doctor if you need to take it during competition. I looked into this A LOT pre Nationals last year! HeatherB 0 #28 March 4, 2005 QuoteInteresting. Prescription sudafed is 60mg, OTC is 30mg ...or did you mean OTC sudafed other than walgreens? Over the counter Sudafed compared to the Walgreens brand. Yeah, I don't get it either! I feel fine with the Walgreens brand. Sudafed makes me want to fall asleep in the plane.
HeatherB 0 #29 March 4, 2005 QuoteYou how much it cost me to get WONKY these days???!! Hmm...what's your definition of wonky? Wonky is one of my favorite words. Discombobulated ranks up there too.

Vicki So I can do aviation work taking it, but not aviation competion. Sounds like a proven performance enhancer. I think I'll take it every day.
