We just went to...

Disney and I gotta tell you.. Mickey don't use no lube! Damn, that mouse gets ya! $60 to get in, $30 for a little lunch, overpriced gift shops, rides from the mid-70s.. They were even selling plastic bags they called ponchos to little old ladies for $7 apiece today...

I think the Orkin man needs a bigger trap to catch the biggest rat of all. >:(

Roy...they charge that much for everything because people are willing to pay it. Just like Vegas..wasn't built on winners.:S I was at Disney on a business trip a few years ago and if my company didn't pick up the day passes, I would've stayed in my room the entire time...but then again even THAT was expensive:o..even pool/cabana boy was expensive.

Disneyland is a trap that catches people and is run by a rat. :D

There is a Florida Residents discount that is an ok deal.

3 days in a hotel at DW, so you don't have to drive, just take the Disney buses.

Also, you can go to Pleasure Island at night, drink, and ride the boat back with no problem.

That said, I haven't been there in a while myself.

Yeah.. we got 10% off for being Florida residents.. I just figured if they were charging that much, they would have cool new stuff.. but it seemed like most of it, at least at the Magic Kingdom, was still from when they built the place.. and at Epcot, everything was sponsored... Test Track, brought to you by General Motors.. Space Mission, brough to you by HP, and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, brought to you by Kodak, all of these along with 20 minute commercials for their sponsors.. they even had the 2005 GM cars all over the freakin place with their window stickers and a GM info booth.. the mouse is working it from both ends.. :S

Well, if you took the kids, it had to be done!:|

But if you want some fun, try the rides at Adventure Island in Universal....not that it is any cheaper....

And if you really want to have fun, and really blow the big bucks....get some wind tunnel time!!! That will empty the pocket book and max out your credit cards!!!! Disney will look inexpensive after that!!!:S

hope to see you this weekend at zhills Roy!

WFFC and I seem to go up to Orlando once a week, and we spend money in the tunnel. Much better investment if you ask me. But if you can't do tunnel time, then I'm with Clay - tittie bar beats the ladenhosen-wearing rat.

YOu know, I loved Disneyworld as a kid -- and I am sure will take my kids there someday, but if you sit and think about it, doesn't it all seem sort of cultish and bizarre? Especially in those neighborhoods where people can live on Disneyworld property-- but its almost like the book "Wrinkle in Time" where all the homes have to look a certain way, keep the yard a certain way, etc. Also kind of like that movie Pleasantville.

maybe its just me?[:/]
