kai2k1 0 #6 March 1, 2005 I saw this live. He was "distraught" over a divorce with his wife and "losing" his kids. He shot and killed his wife and her best friend in a pretty affluent part of STL. He fled the scene and after a short chase the cops called it off. He died at the scene. He's a fuckin prick for leaving his kids without a mother or father. WFFC 1 #8 March 2, 2005 Right at the 43 second mark in the clip, the left front hit the guardrail. The next frames show the wheel just behind the vehicle rolling and the left front digs into the ground. How the guy managed to not take anyone else out with this is pretty amazing. Here's the article from the St. Louis Fox station: Quote FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS IN FAMILY TRAGEDY Kelli Alexander's visitation is Friday from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Forever Bellerive Cemetery with the funeral following right after. Visitation for April Wheeler is Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Stygar Mid Rivers Funeral Home in St. Peters and will be buried Wednesday after a second visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Church of the Shepherd UMC in St. Charles. So far, funeral arrangements for John Alexander are not final. It was a sad day in court as lawyers for a shooting victim and her husband accused of pulling the trigger appear without either of their clients. On Friday police say John Alexander ambushed his estranged wife and shot and killed her and her close friend, then lead police on a wild ride which ended in a horrible crash seen live on FOX 2. Both Kelli and John Alexander were scheduled to appear on Monday for a hearing on a custody issue. Kelli was asking that John only have supervised visits with their three kids. Many people speculate this hearing is what set him off and then set off a tragic chain of events. While a monument grows where Kelli Alexander and April Wheeler lost their lives, a single batch of flowers lies where their killer lost his. Along with the crumpled guardrail, those are the only signs of the violent conclusion to a furious 15 minutes that started with four gunshots on Bopp road and ended in a climactic crash. We don't know where he was going for sure or what he was attempting to do. Only John Alexander knows where he was running to, but we all know what he was running from. After the shootings, the suspect fled going southbound on Bopp Road. It was just seconds after the shooting that a Des Peres officer spotted Alexander's SUV at Manchester and Bopp, where the pursuit started. Then seconds later, it was onto northbound I-270 where Alexander quickly put the flashing lights in the rear view mirror in the distance, traveling over 100mph. Then, he traveled off on Page where he gave police the final slip by making a u-turn and headed back to I-270. That's where SkyFOX picked him up from above, but police were not on his trail. Al Nothum from Missouri Highway Patrol said, "We didn't have any troopers in active pursuit behind him. Our officers were attempting to catch up with him, but before they could, Alexander ended it and miraculously perhaps did so without anyone else getting hurt. I saw that happen live from your helicopter and when I saw that, one of the first things that went through my mind when it was over is that no one else got hurt. We keep saying but for the grace of God nobody else got injured...I guess if there is a silver lining that would have to be it." Not only did the judge obviously dismiss the case, but he sealed the records to protect the Alexander's three young children who are with family and close family friends. The other victim, April Wheeler, leaves behind two young sons. She was along to support Kelli during a planned supervised visit with John Alexander. freeflycracker 0 #13 March 4, 2005 This guy used to work for me as a bouncer. He was a guy with tons of family cash. But always wanted to be a thug. We fired him because his gun kept coming "unholstered" and falling on the floor during fights. His demise isnt a shocker. Just a shame he hurt so many people in the process.
