Jimbo 0 #4 March 6, 2005 Why are you updating the BIOS on an older computer? (I assume this is the P3 you mentioned the other day). Is there a specific issue you're trying to correct? - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
Viking 0 #5 March 6, 2005 nothing specific just thought i'd update everything since its gonna be a while before i can get my new system. my current bios is 1007b the newest bios from asus is 1012tc. just though I'd get something a couple years newer (2003 instead of 2001) but every time i try to copy the new bios file onto a boot disc it gives me a warning that ..................ok never mind i just went to reproduce the error and it worked finally. Jimbo 0 #6 March 6, 2005 Unless there's a specific issue you're trying to correct performing a BIOS update won't usually buy you much except wasted time, stress, and a potentially dead PC. Something to think about in the future. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
