AggieDave 6 #1 March 6, 2005 Remember the Alamo, remember Goliad! Today (Sunday March 6th) is the anniversary of the Alamo falling at the end of the Battle of the Alamo. Of course the battle cry at the Battle of San Jacinto saw rise the revenge of the Texans remembering the outrage at the slaughtering of the brethern at the Alamo and Goliad. Since most of the US only knows the Alamo from the Disney movie, I would hope that with this post you might take a few minutes today and read a bit on the internet about the true history. masterrig 1 #4 March 6, 2005 I've been to the Alamo twice. Once as a kid and once as an adult. The Alamo is probably the only real symbol of freedom and independance this nation has. For a lot of years, The Alamo was ignored and forgotten. If, it hadn't been for one person's interest and caring, it could've been just a pile of rubble. The Alamo, brought freedom fighters from all over. It's Texas! Chuck

Raise your drink tonight, for the US would have been drastically different without the vastly independant Texicans fighting their solo war against Mexico.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
