Brian425 0 #1 March 6, 2005 I'm actually excited to see this race. There are 9 Mexicans in the race. I think it's great that they are bringing the Busch series to Mexico. It's a country that is passionate about racing. And it's a road course. Good for Nascar for bring this race to Mexico. Hopefully Canada will be next. It would be great to see this race series to cover all of North America. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. kingbunky 3 #2 March 6, 2005 brace yourself for the formula one fans! to them... i'm lgad to see nascar's expansion, but if they keep this up, they're going to wear out the teams. a canadian race owuld be nice to see, the rumour i heard was for the formula one track in montreal.."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." Brian425 0 #4 March 6, 2005 I love F1 too!! Actually all racing. I think it is good to expand the race series. Montreal and Toronto would not be too far to go for a race for the Nascar guys. And with F1, Schumacher with last years car. Can he still win? At least be competitive until the new car comes? We will see. I think it's time someone really pushed Schumacher. It would make F1 more interesting. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

Brian425 0 #8 March 6, 2005 did you see the poor dog on the track!!! Oh my god. I hope he's ok. Just adds to the fun. LOL The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
Slappie 9 #9 March 6, 2005 I wasn't to impressed with the race. It wasn't the big boys and it was a road course. Plus it was an 80 lap race on a 2.5 mile track. That wasn't NASCAR.... I am glad to see them trying to "internationalize" the sport but the facility and the course just wasn't NASCAR. Brian425 0 #10 March 6, 2005 It was Busch cars. Still a good start. I understand your opinion; but, I disagree. I think it brings new people into the sport. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

No don't get me wrong, I think the idea to try and bring more into the sport is a good idea. It just wasn't interesting to me. I like 160+ mph and turn left. The "stock cars" aren't made nor engineered to be a road car. They're made to go really fast and turn left. Brian425 0 #12 March 6, 2005 Hey Slappie, disagreeing is what makes life interesting. Nascar runs a road course at Watkins Glenn. True that some teams bring in a road course driver to run them. Just because the first race was a little different, I am happy with it so far. I wish they had brought the Nextel Cup guys there instead. Still a good start in my opinion. It is fun to see them try to turn right though. LOL The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

Brian425 0 #14 March 6, 2005 Truex Jr wins, Kevin Harvick with his 3rd 2nd place finish this year. I think it was a fun race to watch. Hopefully the Nextel Cup cars will run it next year. DeNReN 0 #16 March 7, 2005 Was not a bad race...glad to see them run in Mexico esp. on a road course...Little disapointed in the ringers...poor Ron Fellows never seems to have any luck when racing in nascar considering his skill as a road racer....I was pleasently suprised to see a Mexican in his 1st bush race take the pole and lead the 1st 25 laps..again..little inexperiance and bad luck finished of a excellent run... Slappie......Do you know how these cars are constructed?....It is not hard for a race team to turn a oval chassis into a road race chassis....mind you it is easier to do when using more modern technology...ie: coil over suspension and rack and pinions etc....compared the the A arm and recirulating ball etc. systems that nascar for some reason still uses...tell me you have never nodded off while watching a nascar super speedway race
Slappie 9 #17 March 7, 2005 DeN I'm very familiar with the way "race cars" are built. Even have some experience with road cars. My whole deal is with stock cars running a road course. Their history is to run full out and turn left. The whole let's adapt the sport so more people give us their money is wrong. But, I've always had a problem with big bidness and authority. So even at my age I'm still a angst ridden rebel. jumpinfarmer 0 #18 March 7, 2005 NASCAR used to go to Canada. The old Grand National Series used to race at Cyuga (sp) Ontario. I think Richard Petty won there last.

kingbunky 3 #20 March 7, 2005 ....but if you want to look at the real roots of nascar, the moonshiners, they were actually road racing from the start! i think the whole oval thing came from americans and their love of stadium sports."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart."
