Kris 0 #2 March 7, 2005 I occasionally listen to mine on the ride up, but I only put the headphone in one ear so I can still hear what's going on around me in case there's trouble. Then it gets turned off and goes into my jumpsuit pocket a few mins before exit. I listened to it a couple of times on cross-country jumps, but it's just too unsafe if there are others in the air. Hell, I have enough to focus on without needing another distraction on my jump.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
Frenchy68 0 #3 March 7, 2005 Addressed in the safety & training forum. Many people have done it, but I think it's not a good idea safetywise... GTAVercetti 0 #4 March 7, 2005 If you were going to do it..wait until you have alot more jumps. At my jump numbers, I would not do it. Too much distraction. Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
superman0710 0 #5 March 7, 2005 yeah, i figured it'd be a safety hazard but i just wanted to get some feedback. thanks guys. p.s. - i wasn't even dreaming of using one in the near future.
AggieDave 6 #6 March 7, 2005 Its been discussed at length in a few different threads. The sort answer (besides the long answer for safety) is that you have to have it so damned loud (even in a helmet under canopy) that it's gonna damage your ears.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." DaGimp 0 #7 March 7, 2005 i have done it, i just make sure that its on the oppisite side as my audible. its not really a distraction in FF as i rarely hear it with an open face helmet, but make canopy ride more enjoyable.....specially when im getting ready to start my hook and here "Let the bodies hit the floor!""Professor of Pimpology"~~~Bolas
