Brian425 0 #4 March 6, 2005 JTval, It's like watching any other sport. You are fans of a sport and you root for your guys. I was just in Vegas and at Mesquite for the Valentines boogie. Sorry I missed you. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

Everytime I get on the freeways in Houston, it's drive like a bat out of hell or get run over. vanillasky11 0 #6 March 6, 2005 Hi I'm Kelly, and I am a NASCAR fanatic.. I can't explain the addiction, and until you really watch a few races or go to a race, you won't ever understand the fascination yourself.. Shotgun 1 #9 March 6, 2005 QuoteI guess I should state that I never understood the fascination with watching any televised sport. so apparently I'm missing something. I never understood that either. Growing up in West Texas where football is such a big thing (I guess it's big all over the US actually), I was always baffled by the attraction to watching a bunch of guys play football... Oh well, I'm sure there are things that I enjoy doing that other people might not understand. And I guess I'm doing nothing at all to help you understand why televised sports are interesting to others.
jtval 0 #10 March 7, 2005 Ive even gone to a few races. the thunder is pretty damn cool but its pretty lame to sit on metal benchs for a few hours to only occasionally see the cars pass your side of the track I guess it would be hafl of the time )My photos My Videos
kingbunky 3 #11 March 7, 2005 i've only been to one race (pocono pa), but it was very cool, even though i saw very little of the cars. if you want to see the race, tv is your best bet. ifyou want to experience the race, you can't beat the cheap seats, right down front! you can feel the cars go past, let alone see and hear them..."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." I completely agree. Nascar has alot of technology built into their cars, which I like, but they also spend so much damned time measuring everything to make sure the cars are as identical as possible. Seeing a car go fast and turn left over and over never appealed to me. I've been to oval track races and found the best part was the coors lite girls. The wife of a jump-buddy is a total NASCAR fan and watches the races on Sunday while he jumps. For her birthday, he gave her the Richard Petty 120mph race course.
