Man Dies After Winning Tequila Shot Contest
SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — One person is dead and three are gravely ill following a tequila drinking competition (search) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The winner of the contest died. Officials say Ricardo Ivan Garcia — who was 21 — drank more than 50 shots of tequila Sunday night at a disco. The prize was ten-thousand pesos — about 330 dollars.

A prosecutor says the man died of apparent heart failure brought on by alcohol poisoning.

Three other contestants remain in serious condition in the hospital.

I've seen Vinnie drink a lot more than 50 shots. This guy was just an amateur.

In my college days I did 26 shots of Jaeger and 4 Goldschlager. I passed out while walking up a flight of marble stairs. I slept for three days after thatB|

Poor bastard. That guy wasn't dedicated to tequila. That's what happens when you forget to act up after drinking the nectar of the Gods. He was probably not drinking Herradura, Patron, Cabo Wabo, or another high end brand.

If he had simply started jumping off of a roof, onto a trampoline, and into the back of a pickup he would have been just fine. Or had someone kindly driven their car or a golf cart towing him behind on a creeper, that too probably would have helped the poor soul out.

that aint tequila. 50 shots of anything hard could easily give you alcohol poisoning

Obviously he had not been working out. You gotta start smalll 2-3 shots a day and work up to 50. You don't think Vinnie got as good as he is at Tequila drinking overnight it took years of practice to get as good as him.


Oh yeah even if you get as good as Vinnie is you'll still suck
You can't be drunk all day if you don't start early!

I get out in about an hour twenty so if you can get here in time the beers on me. If not I'll just have to have some for myself. alone.. by myself.. with no one else. Oh well it's cheaper that way anyways.
