AggieDave 6 #7 March 9, 2005 QuoteTLC The Learning Channel for those who might not know CLOSE. TLC means The Lady's Channel, since they drifted from learning topics to having a lot of effeminant men redesigning your kitchen. They used to have shows on like "Connections" and "The Day the Universe Changed." Eitherway I'm gonna watch this episode of While You Were Out, since it sounds fun.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." jceman 1 #11 March 9, 2005 Laurel, I hope the blurb on the TV listings page doesn't indicate the tone of the show: Quote Skydiving fanatics have a 1974 aluminum Airstream as their second home that is in desperate need of some attention. it sounds like a typical whuffo slant. BTW, this blurb is on all the listings, online and on the descriptions on our digital cable guide. Any guesses as to how many references will be made to "plummeting toward doom", etc.? Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Any guesses as to how many references will be made to "plummeting toward doom", etc.? I said we are on it - we did not edit, produce, direct, etc... it. Just watch it. It will be cute. I am sure many will be commenting on every little skydiving inaccuracy - but remember, this was for FUN not for accuracy. There are fake freefall shots where I don't have goggles on and am talking to the others, just to let everyone know. ..................................................................... Laurel 0 #14 March 9, 2005 Oh, and because of all the trouble at Gold Coast (the airport people not allowing campers any more) we are selling our Airstream on eBay. TrophyHusband 0 #21 March 9, 2005 connections was awesome. discovery science has a few good shows on now and then, but they are mostly repeats. discovery and tlc need to change their names to lifetime 2 and lifetime 3 as they now suck. tigra 0 #22 March 9, 2005 Funny? I don't know about that but I've always wondered if there were any "strings" attached when you get a bunch of stuff like that for free. Seems to me there ought to be some restrictions about selling it for a profit so soon afterwards.
