so with a small longboarding background ive seen these helmets around alot and theyre super nice. but what about for skydiving? would they work?

has anyone tried them?
ive noticed that alot of skydiving FF helmets have a small almost like bag that goes around the bottom that creats a seal around the neck but from what i can see these dont ahve one, would that make a big difference...and what about the visor opening?

if anyone has any expirence with this helmet in particular or this company in general id love to hear ur input.

Ya.... I am not sure I would feel comfortable with it. It looks like your view of your handles would not be good. I have not ever used one or tried one on so I am not sure that's true but I would make sure that you have a clear view of your handles before you buy it.

Life is all about ass....either you're kicking it, kissing it, working it off, or trying to get a piece of it.

It does look like it might limit your vision, of your handles and otherwise when compared to other full face skydiving helmets.

Another problem is that others cannot see in. Being able to make eye contact is key when jumping with others. Often times, the look on your face is enough to let other jumpers know if you're ready to exit, or for the next point, or if you're confused or in trouble. Even if you had a clear visor, the smaller size of the opening makes it that much harder for others to see in.

Base? You mean no handles, no RW, and no canopy traffic? Sounds perfect.

I have an Icaro helmet (different model but similar w.r.t. chin) for paragliding and I have jumped it skydiving several times.

In the end I concluded that it is not suitable. The protection is excellent, much better than any skydiving helmet I've seen, but the chin is way too long and is open beneath. I also had to use gaffers tape on the visor for my jumps.

It's the wrong tool for the job. Not just because of visibility but the way it catches air during free-fall depending on head orientation and the protrusion of the chin bumping risers under canopy.

If someone cloned these with a lower profile chin, a neck seal and a visor latch it would probably be a great helmet.
