DZ.com Weight Loss Challenge, Week 10

Y'all giving up on me, don't care anymore, or has everyone reached their goal weights and just not shared it??

My numbers: no change, 200.4 lbs

DZ.com week 9: -10.9 lbs

I came off creatine the other day for the first time in 8 weeks. I lost 5 kgs (about 10 lbs) in three days. :S.

5" 6
13.5 Stone
15% Bodymass (at the moment ;))

I want to get to 14.5 - 15 stone, then rip to 13 - 13.5 (4 - 8% bodymass) for the summer. We'll have to see if i manage it.

No I DEFINITLY HAVE NOT reached my goal yet! However, due to a change in my evening activities, I didn't go home, don't have a scale nearby to weigh in. It'll have to wait until tomorrow, or monday. I'll do a weigh in Monday, see if I can be good (although there's a party and whatnot) over the weekend. Don't think I've given up on you though:)

Good job, Mike. I'm glad you're keeping up with it!
After a couple-three weeks of less-than-steady exercise, I'm exercising every morning (even when I'm tired), with the hope that my appetite will fall again.
Note the lack of numbers...

Some how, despite how lazy I have been this week...I have lost another 4 lbs. for a total of 19 pounds lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
I even reached my tentative goal weight before Spring Break, only problem is...how the hell am I gonna keep it that way while I am in NJ/NYC without eating myself into oblivion...B|:S...

I see I am not completely alone here.
Me --> 16 stone now (about 224 pounds) @ about 15%
I will continue bulking for 6 more weeks, hopefully not gaining to much more fat, and start cutting in the end April. Planning on taking 16 weeks to cut down between 8 and 10%, expecting to end somwhere between 14 and 15 stone. Then depending on how satisfied I am, either maintain that or bulk again. I really don't know how it will end. But atleast I know where I want to be in the begining of September.
If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass.
Can't think of anything I need
No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound.
Nothing to eat, no books to read.

No change for me this week, either.

I had a really tough week and was only able to work out 1 day. For example, yesterday started out with me breaking down on the way to work, getting towed back home. Then hubby starts working on the car and slices his finger open then we spend the next 4 hours in the ER for him to get 5 stiches. This is the way things have been going lately.

Next week I'm traveling for work and I have a terrible time eating healthy and excerising while traveling. So expect things not to be good next week either.

Oh well, just keep on trying I guess.

If you're traveling for work, you can try bringing some snack food with you that you like, and then loading up on that before going out to eat.

Something like celery kept in the hotel refrigerator can really help tone down your appetite.

I often order off the appetizer menu when I'm eating alone; the portion is just about right. I might get a salad while I'm at it too (but then I really like salad). The key is to remember that you're getting your money's worth with the experience, and not the food.

Good luck with the trip next week either way.

I was taking a small break from this (for no good reason), but I'll be back in the swing of things on Monday. Only thing is, I'm afraid to get on a scale to see what my current weight is, after being bad for so long. :$ Guess I'll just have to bite the bullet Monday morning . . .

Scale isn't moving one way or the other so I'm going to stop depressing myself for awhile and only weigh in once a month. I'll be continuing doing what I have been, but the scale won't be stepped on for awhile.

Just over 5'9". I try to pay specific attention to the waist to chest ratio. My goal is about .66, 48"chest with a 32" waist gets that.

I'm on:

12 x 60kgs (warmup)

8 x 90kgs (light set)

6 - 8 x 135 kgs (heavy set to shock muscle into growth)

8 x 125kgs (medium set to burn out).

I try to do as many as poss on the last set. I'm going up now as well. Might try 140kgs next time I do a leg session.

I don't go too heavy on my squats for fear of screwing my my lower back. Instead I focus on going heavy on leg presses and hack squats. I always try to do more on my workouts the the previous time. My girlfreind usually monitors my workouts and takes record of exactly how much weight I did on which exercise, in which order, with exactly how much rest time is inbetween sets and exercies. Anyway here are my most current numbers:
leg press sets (with 2.0 minute rests between sets) 227kgs X 12, 227 X 10, 227 X 8
Hack squats (I think this is 1.0 minute rests) 122 kgs X 15, 122 X 12, 122 X 10
Squats (1.0 minutes between first and second set and 1.0 minute between second and third) 102kgs X 12, 111 X 12, 120 X12

I do squats last so that it requires less weight to tire me out and therefore puts less strain on my lower back. The most I have ever done a set with was 160Kgs X 10. But that was when I was doing squats first.

Thanks for the tips Wendy. If it was just me traveling I'd go to a grocery store and eat in but when traveling with a group (and sharing a rental car) you're pretty much expected to go out with everyone.

It's also difficult because I'm going to a vendor I won't be able to keep healthy snacks at my desk like I usually do so by the time a meal comes around I feel like I'm starving.

I also hardly ever eat out except when traveling so it's hard not choose the really delicious stuff that I never get to eat any other time.

I'm going to really try this time though to eat better and I think the hotel I'm staying in has a work-out room. I'm going to try and work out eveyrday.
