jumpergirl 0 #1 March 14, 2005 Some of you may have already heard about the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Some may not. With all of the support here for Jump For The Cause, I thought this would be a great place to post this. A very special event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day is taking place in October to raise fundss for research and to help find a cure. With two of my closest friends and teammates, I will walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. We have called ourselves "Erinyes Trinity" -from greek mythology. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. Our team has agreed to raise at least $6,300 in donations. I've set my personal goal at $3,000. We need your help. Would you please consider making a donation? Any amount will help and is greatly appreciated. Please take a look here for more information and options. Keep in mind how far I'm walking -- and how hard I'll have to train. According to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, approximately 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease.
