Sunday we did an 8 way sit-suit (yeah I said sit-suit) jump for oldschool Byron days and let me just say that it is very very hard to fly head down to a formation in one of those! pajarito 0 #78 March 14, 2005 Friday: 1. Demonstration jump into football stadium in Alexander City, AL for the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall ceremony. Smoke/flags (I jumped the POW/MIA flag) 2. Jumped solo back into the airfield on return back home (very high and gusty winds; nobody else would jump with me ) Saturday: Sick as crap with an upper respiratory infection. Too windy for anyone to jump anyway. Beer light came on at ~10:30am. Sunday: 1. 4-way RW 2. Practice jump for demo 3. 8-way RW jump for a friend returning to skydiving after a very bad skydiving accident last year at Flora-Bama. 4. Another demonstration jump into same football stadium in Alexander City, AL for the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall ceremony. Smoke/flags (I jumped the POW/MIA flag again) 5. Amazon 7 #80 March 14, 2005 :4:0 4DZ's 4 jumps and new to me gear acquired. I hit the road on Sat afternoon after Safety Day at Kapowsin and a couple jumps. 2nd jump was a bit too positive for my neck and it was time to take some ibuprofen and travel. Stopped by Skydive Toledo but got there just as the beer light was coming on. Chatted for a bit and took off for my favorite Chinese restaurant in Portland.... MMMMMM Walnut Shrimp and Pepper Salted Squid.......MMMMMMM Sun Morning out to to Skydive Oregon and made the first load of the day.. well it was about noon but what the heck. HEaded over to Skydive Beaver Oaks for some wheelin and dealin.. so now I have a DOM May 2003 RED INFINITY that will hold a pair of 170's after a few mods to the chest strap( Velocity needs to perform the AMAZON Modification) Weather was 70 degrees and GORGEOUS.. I could see 9 different Cascade StratoVolcanos from altitude...SWEEET.. I am even starting to get my body current for this years jumping.
