ladyskydiver 0 #17 March 18, 2005 And words are just that - words. SC is a place where I'm sure you've found out by now, tempers get out of control and words are said that may not necessarily be meant. How you choose to react to something is that - your choice. You can choose to take it personally and then get pissed and say a few things or you can choose to not let someone's written word piss you off. You're going to need to learn to relax and maybe walk away from the computer once in awhile when people get your goat. It'll help you in the long run - especially hanging out in SC. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
CanuckInUSA 0 #18 March 18, 2005 I know and occasionally jump with this person who you refer to and while his comments may be somewhat out of line when it comes to law enforcement officers, I would like to remind you how small the skydiving community can be. Eventually (assuming people stay in the sport) you will meet this individual just as you will meet myself and others here. The way you attacked and threatened this person is not acceptable on DZ.COM as well as any other civilized forum. This is the internet for Gods sakes. It's cool to have fun here and it's a good place to share information on with each other with our common interest (jumping out of aircraft and jumping off of fixed objects). But DZ.COM is still the internet and the things you say here are seen and remembered by many and can effect your skydiving career. I knew that you wasted your time writing up that post. You see, the person you most wanted to read it, will never see it because he's off in another country right now BASE jumping. Either way just remember that this is a very small community you're talking to and the reputation you build for yourself here on DZ.COM is remembered at the drop zones that we all meet at and jump at. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

superman0710 0 #22 March 18, 2005 QuoteRetort? You threatened the guys life. What kind of response is that? quite a common one. and i threatened to knock his ass out. not kill him. i DARE you to knock on your local police office door and tell them you're glad those officers are dead and see what they do to you. better yet, tell them when they're out of uniform. i dare you. CanuckInUSA 0 #23 March 18, 2005 I'm not going to say such a thing because I don't wish to see them dead. I'm not a big fan of the cops, but I do know why they exist. I have different life experiences than you and thus have a different view on the laws society is supposed to follow. And if you ever do meet the guy you attacked, you'll notice what a laid back, non-violent, friendly type of guy that he is. Drew is NOT perfect. In fact I don't always agree with him. But he is a smart person and doesn't wish violence upon anyone. Anyway, getting back to the real point why I started conversing with you here in this forum. Remember that the skydiving community is a very small community. I see that you are new here (and we all were new at some point as well) and I'm just trying to help you realize this so that you think twice before you hit that send button.
