Shotgun 1 #26 March 18, 2005 I haven't been doing too good with the exercise lately. I wish I had someone to exercise with because that makes it easier to stay motivated... What I need is some retired military dude (like that "Mail Call" guy) to live with me for a few months. He could wake me up at 7AM every morning and yell at me all day when I try to make excuses for not doing things. That's what I need...

boinky 0 #34 March 19, 2005 Actually I think it started when I wanted to lose 10 lbs. really fast. Then Deuce decided that we should make a support group. Of course, now I'm not doing so well....but I'm glad to see how well everyone else is doing.Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? I took everyone's advice on where to go & eat while on vacation in the Tampa area. Didn't put any on, but didn't lose any either. [Homer Simpson voice]Mmmmm....Tarpon Springs desserts and pastries.... [/Homer Simpson voice] Time to get serious now, vacation is over. DonDon Here's to friends! cbain 0 #37 March 21, 2005 No weigh in for me today but I changed some things up. I was getting really bored on the excerise bike and I was working out after work which is really hard because I'm always tired and make excuses when I get home. So, I got some Taebo videos, 2 basic (30min) and 2 advanced (60 min) to throw into the routine. I also got one of those stretchy band things to do some resistance training. I'm also lucky that I have a flexible schedule at work so I'm still getting up at the same time, but working out in the morning and going in to work a little later. No excuses! I've done the Taebo 4 days in a row now and boy is it's kickin' my butt! My abs and glutes are sore! (But not too sore). Working some different muscles. Hopefully the new routine will help with the motiviation and boredom. Christina

peregrinerose 0 #41 March 21, 2005 Tae bo is good, but the advanced tapes you are moving so fast that you aren't really doing all that much, going more on momentum than anything else. I feel that I get a much better workout with the basic tapes. For a longer workout I'll just do 2 back to back. I'd also recommend the firm tapes. They are aerobic plus light weights. Amazing what it does to your muscles. Get the Super Sculpting one. Did that this morning, it's probably my favorite. Time Crunch is good too. Do or do not, there is no try -Yoda
