windcatcher 0 #30 March 21, 2005 First, weekend started off great with a camp-out friday night, though the 40+ mph winds were an interesting mix with our fire. Saturday, I did a 2-way with Chad, we couldn't even catch each other; then, I tried my first attempt at sit-flying!!!! I was on my back at first, but got up, man, that's was soooooooo much freakin FUN!!!! Then, last jump was a horney gorilla, attempted by me, Jill, Dan ( who had never done one before), and Chad, the only experienced hg guy. THAT was a lot of fun. We 4 held the horney gorilla for just a little bit, then Jill and I got flung off Chad and Dan, but the 2 guys stayed together and so did me and Jill. Twas too much fun, Jill and I trying not to let go with our legs, looking at each other and laughing, spinning through the sky!!! Was the most fun weekend of jumping I've ever had, got to jump my own rig for the first time , first sit attempt, first horney gorilla....got to see friends from my old dz whom I miss very much, but it was awesome fun!!!! Also, first trip to the ER with a jumper who broke their heel on landing ...man, I've never seen someone I care about in so much pain before... BUT, it still was a delicious weekend, first time getting more than 2 jumps in the same day. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...

GeordieSkydiver 0 #37 March 21, 2005 0:1:0 Too hungover on Sat after friday nights party... My friend just passed his Army helicopter pilots course, so me and another friend crashed the party dressed as Biggles, (see photo) we can't have these pilots taking themselves too serious. I then went for a AWESOME 90 minute ride on my buddy's GSXR750RR on the Sunday, kick ass!Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk
wmw999 2,587 #38 March 21, 2005 Happy Birthday, Ed! I got 4 jumps in on Saturday (took the Scott Miller class -- it was awesome). We were not sucking in Houston! CanuckInUSA 0 #42 March 21, 2005 QuoteBeer owed for first balloon jump . . . almost dark, landed at a sewage treatment plant. Congrats!!! Balloon jumps are fun. But you are almost guaranteed to land off. So they should not be taken lightly (not saying that you did take it lightly on your jump). Plus now you know what us BASE jumpers (sort of) experience. kelel01 1 #43 March 21, 2005 Yeah, I knew that going into it. Thank goodness, though, because I was prepared for such. Poor Annemarie had no idea we were (more than likely) going to have to land off. She did very well, though!
unformed 0 #44 March 21, 2005 QuoteHumps: Jumps: Cases of Beer owed What's the story with your cutaway? sick line twists but i might've been able to kick out of them. a little voice in my head though really wanted to see what a cutaway felt lik so it gave it a good reason. my little brother and my cousin were also doing tandems on the same load ;)This ad space for sale. freeflir29 0 #47 March 21, 2005 :8:0 That was one of THE BEST weekends I can EVER remember. Better than either of the WFFC's I have been to. I can't really remember all the jumps I did but my two favorites were a 6 way head down with John and Steph Pinyon, Storm and Sharon, and Shawn Hennesey. I didn't get to dock because SOMEBODY didn't get in their slot. It was still a DAMN fine jump though and I flew nicely. The other was a FUN two way with Weegegirl. Awesome awesome awesome!!!!! It was OK though.......Mouth was there to pick me up before I was even done stowing my brakes.
