Skydiver on Leno tonight!

Just checked TV Guide Online and a skydiver named Milburn Hart is on tonight.

Anyone know who he is and why he's on? Do I know this name and am just having a serious brain fart?

i had a feeling someone would beat me to this. yeah, he's a ladies man too! i couldn't see what happened, did he slip off the strut? did he deploy or was it a premie because whatever was going on with his shoulder? he was such a cute man

Looked to me like he slipped off the strut and then was deployed by his static line.......regardless funny guy with a great outlook on things

I noticed the wings as he was first walking out. He was a riot!!!!

Sooo, any bets on if Queen Latifah and Kevin actually go skydiving as they said they would before the old guy came out, and if they do, what DZ it'll be at?

I bet they don't show. Kevin, maybe, but Queenie I think was all talk...

Sounds like she showed up and they said your a tad too thick..sorry..


...so she talked about how they didn't have large enough chutes for her...blah blah blah....

kinda hard to understand her though..

Well, its kinda neat to see a DZ stood firm for safety even though she's a celeb...although it was odd to hear her talk about the DZ using round canopies. I bet she was confused and was thinking about a tandem drogue or something.

Mel did a good job overall and was a great sport. He kinda froze on the step and then when he was starting to go he got his feet tangled up with themselves a bit and instead of just going off the plane with it, his instinct was to hold on and that caused him to come off a little funny. Basically, he was holding with both hands but the exit motion when he fumbled with his feet caused his right hand to come off and his left held on a bit longer. That is what caused the akward looking exit. Instead of going off the plane to his right, he sorta fell straight down and his container bumped the wheel which caused his forward rotation. The parachute deployment was S/L and it opened with no line twists. My guess is that he tweaked his shoulder (Left) when he was trying to hold onto the strut.

Mel was a really cool older gentelman and he has been eating up the attention he has gotten. Apparantly he was wearing a shirt around the retirement home where he lives that said "World Record Holder"

I know we've all had students that were no where
near as SHARP as he seems to be!

...I take it he only had one brake released and
that was the cause for the turn on landing?

All in all he did well!

According to him, he had a turn on landing because he could only use one hand (hurt the other arm on exit) and so it seems that he wanted to do something and pulled on the riser that he could. That's what I got from it anyway.
