GeordieSkydiver 0 #1 March 22, 2005 Can anyone do it? I have my name in Manderin, but I want to have it drawn larger, artistically, before being applied as a tattoo. Anyone help?Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk
Frenchy68 0 #2 March 22, 2005 What is your name in Mandarin??? Be careful with Chinese/Japanese ideograms. Many people running around with "Chinese" tattoos that mean something totally different than what they thought it meant... Also, I would consider Japanese Kanji (which is basically old original Chinese ideograms) over contemporary simplified Chinese. GeordieSkydiver 0 #5 March 22, 2005 Quote What is your name in Mandarin??? I have it drawn on some paper in my wallet, I've verified it several times, it says "Little Dragon" which is "Lee" aparently. I asked some random Chinese person in Singapore and without thinking they said "Lee" so I'm good to go. Then again it could say "flying monkey bumwipe asshat"Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk

marcandalysse 0 #10 March 22, 2005 thats a funny site hanzimatters.com, I didn't catch your original post mentioning it. there are so many people with kanji tattoos that don't say what they think it should mean! always ask a few people before getting it permanently attached! (chinese waitresses would help you) marc
GeordieSkydiver 0 #11 March 22, 2005 Yup, done that one too. Chinese waitress in Empuriabrava confirmed it. Chinese seems a great language, i wish I had the time and patience to learn it.Lee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk
