How can I edit a .pdf document?

Open it in acrobat, use the select text button, select all the text and import it to word:D
That's what I do.

you can't unless you have acrobat distiller (not the same as reader). you can be creative & try to edit it in photoshop... i used to jump through hoops to save my files as pdf's in there. i finally just broke down & bought distiller tho...
i didn't lose my mind, i sold it on ebay. .:need a container to fit 5'4", 110 lb. cypres ready & able to fit a 170 main (or slightly smaller):.[/ce

With "Adobe Acrobat". Which isn't the same as "Acrobat Reader" that is installed on most Windows machines.

"Acrobat Distiller" installs as a plugin on MS Office, giving you the option of "Exporting as PDF".

If you have the original file (.doc or something) you can open it in OpenOffice, edit to your hearts content, and export as PDF. OpenOffice is free. And Open Source.B|

I don't know of any (legally) free programs that could edit pdf's, but they may be out there.

I am soooo glad you asked this question. I have been trying everything I could think of to edit a .pdf document. Now, at last I have some ideas as to how to at least try and see if it can be done!

You can download a program called PDF2Word that'll do it for you.

The demo software will only do the first 5 pages of a document and has a couple of minor issues with Watermarks and stuff, but other than that it works great for a freebie!

I think the full version is abuot $30 IIRC...

Hope this helps.

Downloadable from here. :)
