Anyone heard of Quixtar?

Recommended Posts

I've got an unemployed skydiver staying at my house right now. He went to a seminar thingamajiggy last night about Quixtar. My impression is it sounds like a pyramid scheme for the folks who can't afford a high initial investment. It's a hundred bucks to get in and he thinks he's "fourth generation". OK, so he's only putting a hundred bucks at risk, but being that he's unemployed, I'm trying to talk him out of throwing that money away. Anyone heard of this company? Anyone been "in on it"? How'd that work out for you?

Given how their website (the obvious url) sells itself, I'm pretty inclined to believe I'm right, but I'd have an easier time talking him out of it if I found someone with personal knowledge.

Yeah I've heard of them, I looked into it too. To be honest, I don't know. For me it was like $250 to get in plus $50 a month in material. I was ok with the initial ammount until he threw the $50 a month on me.

Although, the guy, my friend's fiance, is a liable source, is 32 and retiring next year...

I was going to go into something a bit different, called The team of destiny. I guess they work a bit different than just quixstar but still with them.

All in all, I know more people who have suceeded than have not with it, i just didn't want to fork over the $50 bucks a month cause I'm a cheap-ass and don't like to read

Like Nanook said, it's Amway. Funny that the people involved are reluctant to tell you that up front. Be skeptical.

Any of the "schemes" can and will work.... just most people don't work hard enough or don't have the people skills necessary to get to the upper levels...

Sure they CAN work. However, less than 1% of the people that start this business ever reach the "upper levels".
Be wary of the information you get from the people that have a stake in you joining.

I had my experience with Quixtar a year ago.

Becuase I decided after 5 months I don't want to make everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) I meet a business prospect, I decided to drop it.

Quixtar is a new generation Amway, and it is for sure a pyramid scheme.

If he is a dedicated person and he carries things through, it's not a waste, he is giving up a good few things other than money though. If he is serious with it, PM me and I can send you MUCH more info. I can even send you some of the generic sales materials I still have!

THe reason people hate it is because it destroys a dream. It comes down to motivation. Quixtar needs people, a LOT OF PEOPLE to work. You need your circle to be motivated to get thier entire circle and so forth. THe way you get them motivated is obvious, (in this materialistic country) Show them boats, houses, cars, and they are there. If after a few months or years they don't have it and they worked hard, they hate it.

I can write a 100 page essay about Quixtar. My summary is....

It isn't inherently good or bad, it is what you make of it. It is what you want to give up for what you want.

Hope it helps!

Cheers.

B

My neighbor tried to get me on that. It is Amway online. Not worth the time.
Why yes, my license number is a palindrome. Thank you for noticing.
